Warranty
All Timber Technik products come with a 3 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty. Our 3 year warranty is important to us and should give you peace of mind when considering a Timber Technik product. By accessing our website and purchasing our products you agree to these terms and conditions.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Timber Technik guarantees our products to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 3 Years from the manufacturing date. Timber Technik guarantees our product to be supplied fit for the purpose and as ordered, and used considerately thereafter. This guarantee does not cover misuse or damage due to environmental factors such as exposure to extreme conditions, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, scratches, burns, or inappropriate use of cleaning products. This guarantee does not cover damage by freight. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear and in the case of faulty components, does not cover labour for onsite fitting. Timber Technik reserves the right to determine manufacturing faults and repair or replace any product covered by this guarantee. This guarantee does not cover damage to 3rd party property.
Timber Technik products are made from natural, solid timber, and as such appropriate care must be taken. As solid timber is a natural product, this guarantee does not cover minor movement of timber panels or pieces over time.
Damages
If you believe your product is faulty, take photos of the product and report the issue by sending an email to info@timbertechnik.com within 3 business days of receiving your package. If the product is confirmed defective, Timber Technik will send you a replacement and reclaim the defective product (which must be un-assembled and in its original packaging) at our cost. Once goods have been delivered, Timber Technik is not responsible for any defect or damage which may be caused by:
Failing to properly maintain or store any goods before installation
Improper installation or assembly
Failing to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by Timber Technik
Returns
Due to the handmade nature of our products we do not accept returns or give refunds for change of mind. We work hard to design and craft a high quality product. If you are not happy with the fitting that you have received, please contact us and discuss the issue directly. We will do our best to resolve any issues and work with you to find a solution.
Once we have commenced production of your order no changes can be made to your custom specifications.
Timber Variations
Our premium timber is from reclaimed sources, therefore some colour and character variation will be present in your product. The images on our website are indicative of the timber species only.
If you are after a specific colour or character variation please let us know when ordering and we will do our best to find you the perfect piece of timber to craft your light.
We understand choosing the materials and colour schemes for your space can be a big choice. If you would like to see your timber options in person, please contact us to book a complimentary consultation in our workshop in Moolap, VIC.
Lighting Quality
Before you order, please be aware of the technical lighting specifications of the particular fitting you are purchasing. We are not responsible if the light does not perform as you imagined, and cannot offer a refund for this reason. If you are unsure of the lighting needs of your home, we recommend consulting a lighting designer who will provide you with the best advice on your space.
Delivery
Australian Delivery
Delivery charges for your product are based on the overall weight of your product and packaging. For products purchased directly from our website, this delivery charge is calculated at checkout. For custom products, a delivery quote will be provided before dispatch.
Local pickup
All Timber Technik products are made at and dispatched from our workshop in Moolap, VIC. If you live locally, talk to us about organising a free pickup of your product from our workshop.
Missed deliveries and re-bookings
If you are not home to receive a delivery a card will be left. You can then organise an alternative delivery day with our delivery partner or get in touch and we can organise a re-delivery for you.
Damaged in Transit
If an item arrives and the packaging or the item itself is clearly and significantly damaged, you should accept the delivery. Before opening the package, take photos or a video clearly showing the damaged packaging and once opened take photos of the damaged product. You must notify us within 3 days of accepting the delivery, by emailing info@timbertechik.com. We will arrange for the damaged item to be returned to us and offer a replacement piece within a reasonable time frame.
International Delivery
For international deliveries please contact us for a freight quote. Please note, the receiver is responsible for the payment of import taxes and duties. Timber Technik is not responsible for the payment of any tariffs or taxes charged by a foreign government.
Lead times
The standard lead time for a made-to-order Timber Technik lighting product is 3-6 weeks, excluding delivery times. This lead time may increase during peak periods, at which point we will notify you of any delays as soon as we are aware of them. Lead times for custom products vary on a case-by-case basis, and will be provided upon approval of your quote.
